Rain makes its own studio
Under the flyover, reflected signage gave every face a second expression. I stayed until the puddles broke apart.
Ask with the camera down
A portrait begins before the lens is raised. We talked about his old route, the new buildings, and why he still keeps paper tickets.
Leave the clean frame behind
The cable crossing the sky was the photograph. Removing it would have made a better composition and a less honest street.

I photograph streets as shared rooms—places shaped by labor, waiting, weather, and the temporary agreements strangers make to pass each other.
Based in Jakarta since 2021, I work primarily with black-and-white film and small digital cameras. My practice is slow, walk-based, and unstaged. Selected work has appeared in independent photo zines across Southeast Asia. Prints and editorial commissions are available.
